Following a tough application and then a live pitching round in Belfast Northern Ireland, we scooped this cool award “to apply digital content knowledge, skills and technologies for innovation”.

‘High Impact Business Award’ Winner 2014 – by Entrepreneurial-Spark

A night of glitz and glamour was had one of the biggest events in Scotland’s entrepreneurial calendar. The Giglets Education team were able to celebrate with our fellow entrepreneurs from Entrepreneurial-Spark, Scotland’s largest Business Accelerator. We were absolutely delighted to come away with the top prize on the night and would like to thank Entrepreneurial-Spark and all of its supporters for playing a significant part in the Giglets journey.


‘Young Scots Heritage Award’ Finalist 2014 – by the Sunday Mail Newspaper

In recognition of our work for the preservation of cultural heritage – from re-imagining literacy classics to reviving minority languages – we are proud finalist for this national newspaper award.

The Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce have been long-term supporters of Giglets Education, so we were extremely honoured to bring both of these awards home.

‘ScotEDGE Award (Round 2)’ Winner 2013 – by the Scottish Government

This significant investment has supported our product development and created new jobs. We were successful after a gruelling selection process involving first rounds, regional semi-finals and ultimately the national final held to a panel of some of Scotland’s top business people including Lord Willie Haughey.

We were overwhelmed to be selected as a winner on the night and to be awarded the full fund award that we had asked for. Thank you to everyone who supported Giglets Education in reaching this point.

‘Motion S4M-06369’ 2013 – by the Scottish Parliament

We very proudly received a motion by the Scottish Parliament, supported by over 20 MSPs from various parties, for ‘contributions to digital reading’.


‘Creative Innovation Award’ Winner 2013 – by Entrepreneurial-Spark

Winning this innovation prize was a real boost, as our creative efforts – from writing to animation – were being publicly recognised.
